Conference Fees

Conference Fees for Authors and Regular Attendees

• Early bid – up to April 1: 350 euros
• Late bid – After April 1: 450 euros
• This includes a 4-year ISBEE membership.

Conference Fees for Doctoral Students

• Early bid – up to April 1: 150 euros
• Late bid – After April 1: 250 euros

Academic Village Costs

• Accommodation on Campus “Academic Village”: a lump sum of 200 euros (for at least 4 nights; maximum, 7 nights)
• Food (Breakfast & Dinner) on Campus “Academic Village”: a lump sum of 200 euros (for at least 4 nights; maximum, 7 nights)
• Lunch and coffee break are included for everyone in the conference registration fees.

The Academic Village Experience on UCAC Ekounou Campus

While some participants may choose to stay in hotels, we encourage participants of the ISBEE 2026 Congress to stay directly on the UCAC Ekounou Campus, right at the heart of the event. The Academic Village is designed to foster exchange, community, and an authentic sense of African academic life, blending simplicity, comfort, and a strong community spirit.

The 150 guest rooms are located within the student residence area, offering well-designed private rooms with a twin-size bed, a personal shower, a desk with a chair, and a wardrobe for storage. While the toilets (WCs) are just outside the rooms, each room features a private shower for added convenience. The rooms are simple but comfortable, reflecting the welcoming spirit of the campus. Please note that there is no hot water, but the tropical climate keeps showers refreshing and pleasant.

Campus Life and Leisure

The Academic Village isn’t just a place to sleep but also a lively social center.

• During the congress, a large outdoor screen will show major events, such as World Cup matches, along with movie nights and cultural displays.
• Attendees can enjoy a campus bar, a pop-up shop, and various leisure activities, including table tennis, board games, and live music.
• Local artists and students will host evening cultural sessions featuring music, dance, and storytelling, offering guests a glimpse into Cameroon’s rich traditions.

Souvenirs and Community

A souvenir shop will showcase local crafts and artworks, letting guests take a piece of the experience home. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, promoting casual interactions among scholars, students, and community members.

Conference Venue

All congress sessions and key events will be held directly on the Ekounou Campus, making it easy for guests to move between their rooms, the conference halls, and leisure spaces. Staying on site means fully immersing oneself in the intellectual and cultural rhythm of ISBEE 2026 — an authentic “village experience” where global dialogue meets African hospitality.

If the Academic Village is chosen, a reduction of 10% on the total cost (conference registration, academic village, and other costs) applies (150 rooms available).

Additional Costs

• Gala Dinner: 60 euros
• Accompanying person in the Gala Dinner: 50 euros
• Extension (Visit to the Cameroon National Museum): 40 euros
• Transportation: Lump Sum of 90 euros for participants staying on campus, 130 euros for participants staying off campus (includes all official/organized local transport costs, airport shuttle, organized off-campus dinners, shuttles from and to hotels, local excursions, etc.)

Global South Participants Support

Support the participation of a Global South participant – optional:

1. 150 euros: to support the conference registration fees of an African-based PhD Student
2. 200 euros: to support the accommodation costs at the Academic Village of a Global South-based participant
3. 500 euros: to support the conference registration of a Global South-based participant
4. 1000 euros: to support the transportation costs of a Global South-based participant
5. 2000 euros: to support all the costs of an African-based participant
