Innovation has become a buzzword that promises dramatic changes in almost every field of business and society. Absent from this fascination are serious discussions of the ethical sides of dramatic change and its orientation toward well-being. The ISBEE Congress provides a unique platform to advance these discussions and propose potential solutions. Questions about ethics, innovation and well-being with a focus on business and the economy cover a wide range of issues: conceptual clarification of these key terms; identification of responsible actors at the individual, organizational and systemic levels; assessing multiple forms of innovation in the workplace, of products and services, in dealing with resources; special challenges in different industries such as information technology and financial services sectors; addressing environmental problems and global poverty; assessing innovation in terms of advancing well-being; proposing and evaluating innovative types of businesses and management systems.”
